Old Hot Water Systems

From the 1st January 2010 homeowners/landlords whose property is located in a reticulated natural gas area must install a greenhouse efficient hot water system when the existing electric resistance system is in need of replacement.

This applies to exiting houses and townhouses.

Systems in good working order do NOT need replacing.

Additionally this doesnot apply to homeowners/lndlords in existing units.

The regulations prevent installers from replacing an electric resistance HWS with another electric resistane HWS where the property is located within a reticulated natural gas area.
