Rental Housing Vacancy Rates Queensland June Quarter 2010

The June quarter 2010 vacancy rates for all types of residential rental accommodation was 4.7% in
Queensland and 3.9% in Brisbane City.

Vacancy rates varied across the state between 2.8% and 5.5%.

Queensland’s vacancy rate for residential rental detached houses was 4.1%.

Queensland’s vacancy rate for residential rental units (includes townhouses, apartments and
duplexes) was 5.5%. The Gold Coast had the highest vacancy rate  at 6.7%.

In comparison with the previous quarter, there was a 1.0% point increase in the vacancy rate for
Queensland.
